I felt like I was right there in that bar. I could hear the thunder crack. Just one question: is the Golden Bar a real place? I'd love to visit if it's actually in East London.

Hi Bruno, thank you for your comment. The Golden Bar isn’t a real place in London, or perhaps it is... who knows? My main intention was to capture the atmosphere and mood of the character in that particular moment. The name "Golden Bar" also works as a metaphor. It suggests something special or luxurious, but inside, it's dark, soulless, and damp. It's a reflection of how things that appear perfect on the outside often hide something different beneath the surface. This could also tie into the character’s own journey or serve as a broader metaphor. I’ll leave it to you to interpret more in the book! The bar primarily serves to amplify the dramatic tension of the moment the woman is experiencing. ;)
